Kalibr Technopark tenant - NaukaSoft Company - is the finalist of All-Russian competition “The first element. Air"
From July 10 to July 12, 2019, the final stage of the Up Great technology competition “The First Element. Air, organized jointly by RVC, the Skolkovo Foundation and ASI in the framework of the National Technology Initiative, was finished.
Up Great is a new event format for Russia, which implies open engineering competitions for finding breakthrough solutions to global technological problems, modeled on the prestigious international competitions XPrize, Darpa Grand Challenge, etc.
The competition is aimed at overcoming global technological barriers in the promising segment of hydrogen energy in order to develop environmentally friendly and energy-intensive hydrogen fuel cells for unmanned aerial vehicles, comparable in efficiency to traditional engines running on gasoline.
According to the conditions of the competition, the main task facing the contestants was to design and build efficient power plants for hydrogen fuel cells for small unmanned vehicles, i.e. for land, flying and floating drones of small sizes. At the same time, the competitors' power installations (based on hydrogen fuel cells with a power of 1.3 kW and a specific mass energy capacity of at least 700 (seven hundred) Wh / kg) should have held out for at least 3 hours provided by the organizers of the multikopter platform.
In total, 12 applications from engineering teams, commercial companies and scientific organizations from all over Russia were submitted for participation in the competition. Following the results of qualifying selection and full-time examination of competitive products, three teams reached the final: NaukaSoft (Experimental Workshop NaukaSoft LLC, Moscow), BVS (Unmanned Helicopter Systems JSC, Moscow) and PolyTech (consortium of SRSPU and the company "Inenergy", Rostov region and Moscow).
The prize fund of the competition amounted to 60 million rubles, but the technological barrier has not been overcome. In this case, the best result was recorded in the team "Unmanned helicopter systems."
NaukaSoft, Kalibr Technopark tenant, became a participant of the technological competition “The first element. Air "and took the honorable 3rd place.
Kalibr Technopark became a partner of Naukasoft team.
