British company opens production on the territory of Kalibr technopark
The solemn opening ceremony of new industrial space of Rotork company in Russia will be held in the presence of Prince Michael of Kent, member of the British royal family, on the territory of Technopark Kalibr on October, 31, 2018.
Rotork was founded in 1957. Now it is a leading global developer and manufacturer of industrial drives and control systems, gearboxes and attachments for the oil and gas and petrochemical complex. Today Rotork PLC unites 69 offices and 27 factories around the world, including Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Sweden , South Korea, USA and the Netherlands. Since the 1960s, tens of thousands of Rotork drives have been supplied for the oil and gas industry of the USSR and Russia as part of state foreign trade contracts.
Rotork Rus LLC, a subsidiary of Rotorkplc, has been operating in Russia since 1996. In 2014, Rotork Rus LLC began assembling pneumatic control systems in Russia at a production base in Moscow. Expansion of production is the next step in the development of the company in the Russian market. The area of the new production and logistics complex is about 1500 sq.m.
The nomenclature of the manufactured equipment is represented by pneumatic drives and control systems, industrial electric drives SC and electro-hydraulic drives. Production includes the development of design documentation, input control of components and materials, blank production, assembly production, final testing and packaging.
The drives include components from both Russian and foreign manufacturers, depending on the requirements of the Customer. In the future, it is planned to achieve a full production cycle. The main customers of Rotork equipment are Gazprom, Sibur Holding , Novatek , Lukoil , Rosneft, Gazpromneft, MHK Eurochem, INK LLC, Yamal LNG, etc.
