On January 31, after the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Council of the RF CCI on the development of information technologies and the digital economy, the Digital Economy Development Fund and Sergei Katyrin, President of the RF CCI, hosted the discussion panel "The Digital Economy of Russia: the Time of Government Decisions and Business Actions”.

The event was attended by Mikhail Kogan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalibr PJSC, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial and Investment Policy.
The national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” is aimed at a qualitative change in the economy, decision-making systems, the interaction of the state, society and business.
At the same time, the feedback from the business community and expert assessments allows to conclude that the pace of the project will not achieve certain targets, which is largely due to the low efficiency of the organizations responsible for the implementation of the project, as well as the focus on creating infrastructure rather than the development of transformation of the real sector, the creation of institutional conditions for transformation.

The meeting was opened by the Vice-President of the RF CCI Maxim Fateev, who, in particular, noted that the Chamber is preparing a package of proposals for the Russian government on the implementation of the national project in the digital sphere.
During the discussion, the participants discussed the current stage of implementation of the National Project, announced constructive proposals for the interaction of business and government.

Following the meeting, relevant proposals will be sent to the Government of Russia.
