KALIBR TECHNOPARK TENANTS CONTRIBUTE TO THE FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
Several companies in the Technopark make a significant contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection by offering innovative solutions and technologies.
GenTerra JSC is currently engaged in the production and supply of key components of test systems for the diagnosis of coronavirus infection in order to provide them with the Federal State Budget Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor and the Federal State Budgetary Institution Strategic Planning Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. These organizations produce test systems registered by Roszdravnadzor to detect SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA.
According to Ekaterina Tokareva, Quality Director, 28 people work in the company every day. Genterra JSC is one of the links in the production chain of test systems, it synthesizes the reagents that make up the test system for the diagnosis of coronavirus.
The process of production of oligonucleotides includes:
- synthesis of fluorescent dyes for oligonucleotides;
- synthesis of oligonucleotides and fluorescent probes on automatic DNA synthesizers;
- purification of oligonucleotides and probes by electrophoresis and chromatography;
- quality control by mass spectrometry;
- registration of information on the production of products, their quality, deviations that can affect the quality of products;
- and product identification throughout its production.
In parallel with the uninterrupted production process, the company successfully copes with such difficulties as increasing the cost of components, logistics in a pandemic, and ensuring the most safe working conditions.
The Bask digital factory, which has been producing equipment for protection against extreme weather for many years, creates protective equipment to fight against coronavirus infection. The company was included by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia in the list of light industry enterprises that can continue to work in high alert mode.
In the shortest possible time, in consultation with infectious disease doctors, Bask developed, tested and checked the reaction of tissues to treatment with aggressive disinfectants in their own laboratory on the basis of several types of protective suits. The basis for them were the plague suits of medical workers. So that personal protective equipment can be used by doctors and nurses who are in direct contact with patients, the company is now working on obtaining the necessary certificates.
Today, issued personal protective equipment can be useful to those who do not interact with the sick, but who risks working with the virus: they are hospital support workers, disinfectants, volunteers, and couriers.
CUBIK PRINTS is engaged in small-scale production of components by 3D printing, milling, plastic molding in silicone and aluminum molds. Urgent work is currently underway on the production of components for the customer, Scientific and Production Enterprise Melitta LLC, located in Moscow and a manufacturer of medical equipment for the disinfection of air and room surfaces from various types of pathogenic microorganisms, including the coronavirus COVID-19. In addition, the company is ready in a short time to start printing personal protective equipment on 3D printers for the needs of the Moscow Department of Health in the event such a need arises.
Kalibr Technopark and its tenants wish you good health and patience!
