Masha and the Bear Claims to Be the Most Popular Children's Show in the World

The Russian animated series Masha and the Bear, created by the tenant of Kalibr Technopark, claims to be the most demanded children's show in the world according to the Global TV Demand Awards, the winners of which will be announced in January 2021.

"Parrot Analytics, an independent American analytical company, has announced the nominees for the annual Global TV Demand Awards for the world's most popular serial content, the winners of which will be announced in January 2021. Masha and the Bear is the only Russian animation content among the five finalists".

The five nominees also included cartoons:

  1. Paw Patrol
  2. Peppa Pig
  3. Sponge Bob Square Pants
  4. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The uniqueness of the award lies in the fact that the winning project is determined not by a jury vote, but by global audience demand, taking into account the interest of viewers in more than 100 markets around the world on all types of media platforms. The list of finalists was determined based on the global demand for serial content from January 1 to October 31, 2020.

Animaccord's Masha and the Bear cartoon has been translated into 42 languages and is shown in many countries around the world. In the spring of 2020, the series entered the top 5 most in-demand children's shows in the world during the pandemic (Parrot Analytics, May 2020), as well as the top 5 favorite entertainment brands in the world (Kidz Global, spring 2020).

This is the only Russian animation project that has received four diamond "buttons" - YouTube awards.
