Solstudio Textile Group and the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry - SOYUZLEGPROM announce the holding of the Fourth International Competition for Textile Designers "Textile Design Talents".

In 2020, more than 400 designers from 29 countries took part in the competition, including: England, Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark, India, China, Israel, Chile and many others.

The competition is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Russian Week of Textile and Light Industry, the Interfabric exhibition.

The main goal of the "Textile Design Talents" competition is to support talented textile designers, draw the attention of the professional community to them and help them realize their abilities in the industry.

Textile design today is not limited to fabric patterns. It has become a fundamental part of the global concept of "surface design - surface design", which unites the development of a pattern for any surface: clothing, accessories, shoes, interior.

The works of the participants of the competition are evaluated by an international jury:

- Giovanni Ottonello, Art Director of IED Istituto Europeo di Design

It also includes leading Russian experts in the field of textile design: Andrey Razbrodin, President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry, member of the Public Chamber of Russia; Alexandra Kaloshina, founder of Solstudio Textile Group; Irina Rybaulina, Head of the Department of Art of Textile and Ornament, Russian State University A.N. Kosygin.

The collection of applications from participants in the competition will take place from December 7, 2020 to February 7, 2021. On February 16, a list of finalists will be formed, the solemn announcement of the results and awarding of the winners will take place on March 1, 2021 as part of the opening of the "Russian Week of Textile and Light Industry - 2021" at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The main prize for the winner of the competition from the European Institute IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Italy, Como - summer internship in the program "Textile Design: Forecasting Trends, Drawing and Printing", with a flight to Italy.

Runner-up prize provided by EPSON - color cartridge-free printer and printing of 10 T-shirts with the winner's own design.

Third place - digital printing on the fabric of the participant's collection of prints, consisting of 10 designs of the participant's choice, at the Solstudio Industry factory. The production is fully funded by the organizer of the competition.

The winners will also receive a license to use the AVA CAD software and a certificate for the training course CAD Specialist Education (CST)».

Special nominations from Solstudio Textile Design, as well as prizes for all finalists from Pantone and the Kalibr Technopark.

The works of the winners and prize-winners of the competition will be presented at the INTERFABRIC-2021. Autumn exhibition.
