The Formula IT Accelerator Collects the Best Ideas for Innovative Startups
On 20th May 2021, Kalibr Technopark will host the opening of a new set of the Formula IT acceleration program, which was launched three years ago by the Innopraktika non-state development institute, the operator of the program is LOGA Group.
Within 8 weeks, 45 accelerator participants will undergo an intensive educational program in the field of investment management and, with the support of experienced experts, will prepare for piloting solutions with customers.
The Formula IT accelerator allows you to combine supply and demand from industrial customers and teams creating technological solutions. To participate in the program, industrial partners only need to announce topical business tasks. The accelerator operator will independently analyze the suppliers and select a team with relevant experience for various business tasks.
The main criteria for selecting business tasks are high implementation potential and wide market coverage. Participants need to offer a non-trivial solution and be able to use the order as a guideline and resources for the development of a startup project. You can get acquainted with the cases of the Formula IT program in the brochure of the accelerator.
Among the customers of the Formula IT accelerator are a number of large companies. For example, in 2019 LitRes, which specializes in the creation of new digital formats of e-books, took part in the accelerator. Participation in the program allowed the company to find a promising team to settle its tasks and expand the opportunities for working with innovations. The participants of the accelerator who worked on the LitRes project also gained valuable experience. “Our team specializes in custom development of solutions in the field of machine learning technologies and deep learning technologies. We are quite confident in solving inventive technical problems. We are constantly looking for points of application of our technologies. Thanks to the program, we got an interesting problem that turned into a commercially successful project. We intend to use the received profit for the further development of text processing technologies and for finding further points of implementation, "said Robert Vasiliev, the founder of the Z-Union project, whose team has successfully completed work related to the analysis of literary texts and improvement of proposals for the clients of Litres.
Over three years of its existence, Formula IT has received a number of positive reviews and recommendations from business representatives and the startup community. Every year the program is gaining momentum, attracting interesting business tasks, qualified and talented participants.
Nikolay Zaichenko, co-founder of the Alexander Nevsky Legal Society, which is included in the ratings of the leading intellectual law firms in the Russian Federation, praised the Formula IT organization: “All the teams of the program showed a high level of competence and high-quality solutions. We were particularly impressed by the efficient and advanced Patent Search Wizard from our colleagues with whom we work in patent analytics. We will be glad to get acquainted with new projects in 2021-2022.
Alexey Sergeev, founder of SIGMA messaging, whose solutions are used by more than 3,000 enterprises in Russia and abroad, also considers his participation in Formula IT to be successful. “We decided to become a partner of the program for two reasons: a convenient format for finding teams and the availability of support for drafting technical specifications and piloting innovations. Experience 2019-2021 showed good results, and by now, with the support of the program, we are launching a new product on the market".
“The program is constantly being improved, and we place a big stake on the participants for 2021-2022. This year we made the program more convenient, practical and more mobile. Now industrial partners can announce urgent tasks and immediately submit them to work. The intensity of the sets has also been increased: the new program will consist of three sets of 8 weeks each. Thanks to these changes, participants will be able to interact more efficiently with industrial partners," said Alexander Loktionov, CEO of LOGA Group.
Ekaterina Eliseeva, program manager agrees with Alexander Loktionov. She noted the increased interest of customers in the Formula IT program: “It is noteworthy that several years ago we had to convince industrial partners to announce their orders, and now we see significant interest and demand for our program. New customers, leading in their respective fields, offer paid pilots. We see a new infrastructural partnership with the Kalibr Technopark with the possibility of using an incubator and industrial premises".
“Our programs stimulate the use of modern technology to meet the challenges of companies and consumers. As a result of the selection of previous years, 318 students, scientists and entrepreneurs from all over the country became participants in the program and received the competencies and connections necessary for the development of their own business. We are making efforts to scale up the successful experience of Formula IT in the near future," summed up Alexander Veresov, Advisor to the Executive Director of the Innopraktika non-state development institute.
