Sergey Sobyanin awarded the status of anchor tenant of the Kalibr Technopark to the developer of IT solutions in the retail sector - ATOL.

The manufacturer of cash registers and IT solutions in the retail sector, ATOL LLC, will receive the status of an anchor resident of the Kalibr technopark, as well as the right to tax benefits provided for by the legislation of Moscow. The income tax rate credited to the city budget for this company will be reduced to 13.5 percent instead of the standard 17. The corresponding resolution was signed Sergei Sobyanin.

Over the past 20 years the company founded in 2001, has gone from the distribution of Western equipment for trade automation to the independent development of software products (in the field of business automation in retail, online commerce and others), as well as the production of cash registers.

Today, the manufacturer is among the four leaders of the retailtech market (CNews Analytics data for 2021) and in the top 20 largest IT companies in Russia (RAEX data for 2021). The company's product line includes several dozen complex products of its own development, including various devices, application software, SaaS, and so on. According to expert estimates, ATOL occupies 40 percent of the Russian market of cash registers. In 2021, the company released more than 390 thousand devices.

In the Kalibr technopark, the manufacturer occupies an area of 3673 square meters. It employs 190 people who develop cloud solutions and software. For example, in June 2022, the company launched its own payment service "ATOL Pay", designed to accept payments through bank terminals and using QR codes. Company plans to expand the product range and develop new software solutions. In particular, in the near future the company is going to provide online acquiring services.

The Kalibr Technopark, of which the enterprise is a tenant, is located at the address: 9 Godovikova Street, building 17. The technopark specializes in instrumentation, additive technologies, unmanned and electric vehicles, hydrogen energy, telecommunications technologies, creative industries and medical research.

In total, ATOL has 500 employees. The main production facilities are located in another Moscow technopark — Elma (ZelAO). They are engaged in the assembly of cash registers (barcode scanners, fiscal registrars, label printers, data collection terminals, cash boxes).

Currently, 48 technoparks have been created in Moscow (including six investment priority projects for the creation of technoparks). More than two thousand companies work at these sites (18 companies have the status of anchor resident of the technopark), over 69 thousand jobs have been created. The status of the technopark allows companies to receive benefits on income tax, land tax and property tax, as well as to reduce the rental rate for land. The use of these benefits helps technoparks to reduce the tax burden on regional taxes by up to 25 percent.

Since 2016, the volume of investments in the development of Moscow technoparks has amounted to approximately 69 billion rubles. One ruble of tax benefits accounts for more than eight rubles of private investment.
