Working seminar on Prospects of Development and Application of the Machine Vision Technology in Russia took place at Kalibr Technopark

On 2nd July a working seminar on Prospects of Development and Application of the Machine Vision Technology in Russia took place at Kalibr Technopark. The seminar was organised by Kalibr JSC in cooperation with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mobileye an Intel Company, a world leader in machine vision technologies.

Welcoming remarks were made by Sergey Sevostianov, Director General of Kalibr JSC, Suren Vardanyan, Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Trade, and Chairman of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Trade Committee on Development of Sustainable Transport Systems, Sergey Lobarev, President of the Automototourism National Association.

Kristina Zarubina, Head of Kalibr Technopark, acted as a moderator of the seminar.

The programme of the seminar included eight special presentations made by industrial leaders. Among them were not only Mobileye an Intel Company based in Israel, but also Cognitive Technologies, Visillect, EvTech, Eidos Innovations, Simetra and other.

Yuri Vainshtein, Directors of Mobileye an Intel Company in Russia and CIS, highlighted key milestones of company’s development in the world and prospects of development and application of machine vision technologies in his speech.

The following topics were covered at the seminar: prevention of road traffic accidents using machine vision technology, key trends in self-driving vehicles industry, prospects of self-driving logistic platforms application, use of machine vision for transportation digitalization, use of technology in education during driver training and practice of solution protection in machine vision technologies.

It should be noted that the format of the event included free panel discussions, during which every participant managed to receive a detailed answer to his question from the industry headliners represented by Uri Vineshtein (Mobileye an Intel Company), Alfia Kaumova (Cognitive Technologies), Andrei Bolshakov (Visillect), Ilya Fedichev (EvTech LLC ), Grigori Parfenov (Simetra) and others.

At the end of the day, the organizers and guests exchanged contact information and opinions in an informal setting.
