Russia is on the 28th place in the Doing Business ranking

Russia is on the 28th place in the Doing Business-2020 rating, which is published annually by the World Bank group. This follows from the WB report.
In the last rating, Russia's result was three steps lower — 31st out of 190. This year, the World Bank took into account three reforms that were carried out in Russia. So, the connection of enterprises to the power supply system was accelerated through the creation of specialized departments for connection on the basis of the "single window". The Russian Federation also strengthened the protection of minority investors by requiring greater corporate transparency, and simplified tax conditions by reducing the time for the return of value added tax (VAT). The further improvement of the software of 1C enterprises also had a positive impact on simplifying tax accounting, the World Bank said.
Even in May 2012 decrees, Russian President Vladimir Putin set the goal of reaching the 20th line in this rating by 2018, but so far Russia has not been able to complete this task.
In 2012, Russia was in 120th place in the Doing Business ranking. A comprehensive assessment of business conditions consists of 10 indicators: registration of enterprises, obtaining construction permits, connection to an electricity supply system, registration of property, obtaining loans, protecting minority investors, taxation, international trade, enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency (accessibility of bankruptcy proceedings).
