Kalibr Technopark took part in a meeting of the Russian-French working group on innovation

Mikhail Kogan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalibr PJSC, and Kristina Zarubina, Head of Kalibr Technopark, took part in the meeting of the Russian-French working group on innovations, which was held on October 23, 2019 as part of the Open Innovations forum. The Russian side was represented by Artem Shadrin, Director of the Strategic Development and Innovation Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the representatives of the Skolkovo Fund, RVC JSC, development institutes, etc. Caroline Mishler, Deputy Director for Europe and International Relations of the Ministry of Economy, spoke on behalf of France and Finance, Jean-Bernard Gramunt, Head of International Relations (Russia, Ukraine and the CIS, Africa, Latin America, the Balkans), expert on new information technologies and clusters competitiveness, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Abdo Malak, Advisor on Science and Technology, Embassy of France in Moscow, etc. Topics for discussion were such issues as political and legislative changes in support of innovation and industry in Russia and France, the creation and development of joint venture funds to support priority sectors of bilateral cooperation, joint events between Russia and France, etc. A separate block was devoted to specific cases on the interaction of the two countries on the example of technology parks and high-tech enterprises. Kristina Zarubina, head of Kalibr Technopark, noted in her report that Kalibr PJSC is developing the Technopark's international partnership network, paying special attention to cooperation with France. So, the well-known French company Gemalto is a long-term technopark tenant. Work on support for startups in the coworking of the Technopark is also developing successfully - last year one of the projects became a finalist of the Airbus accelerator in Paris. Today, the priority of the Technopark is the work with other technoparks from France to establish long-term cooperation and the formation of extraterritorial production chains. In connection with the opening of the new Technopark building in early 2020, Mrs Zarubina also expressed her willingness to host French startups in the format of intergovernmental softlanding programs. The meeting of the Russian-French working group on innovations was held as part of the Open Innovations forum, which was attended by more than 20,000 people. Over three days, more than 150 business sessions took place at the Forum. According to official post-releases, “Open Innovations 2019” took place in the format of three thematic days - Digital Man, Intelligent Economy, Future Technologies. On October 22, a plenary session was held with the participation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, dedicated to the main challenges of digitalization.
