Five works of Moscow studio Solstudio Textile Design are included in the review of the main textile trends of the fall-winter season 20 \ 21 of the world fashion analytical company WGSN (World Global Style Network).
Based on these forecasts, an assortment of most international brands from the mass market to luxury is formed.
Each season, WGSN experts and analysts create unique content in various areas: fashion, beauty, lifestyle & interior. In the textile design section, the main trends are illustrated by drawings of twenty of the strongest studios from around the world. For the fourth consecutive season, Solstudio Textile Design has become one of the most cited.
Alexandra Kaloshina, who founded the studio six years ago, believes that there is no fashion in fashion, but there is an accurate calculation and the ability to see the influence of social phenomena on fashion for several seasons ahead. “We have learned to understand the connection between phenomena and their development, working hard on analytics every day and from season to season. But I must say that in addition to our own fairly accurate analysis system, at the end of all work, about 30 percent of decisions are made intuitively, based on experience and more it’s a mystery of communication with the future, as the textile design is ahead of not only the clothes, but also often the creation of the fabric itself. First comes the drawing, then the fabric and at the end of the cycle - the products.
This season, according to WGSN, the studio's work presents current trends: Fruits of the forest, Boudoir blooms, Shadowed florals, Follow the grain, #Ikat.
