On March 4, Kalibr Technopark was visited by a delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Ruslan Aliyev, Trade Representative at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation, co-chair of the working group. The delegation also included rectors of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, the Azerbaijan Technical University, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction; Chief Advisor to the Office of the Trade Representative at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation, etc.

The head of Kalibr Technopark, Christina Zarubina, presented the opportunities of the Technopark to colleagues from Azerbaijan, spoke about the potential of the technopark’s ecosystem in the light of attracting the startup community and research projects. Special attention was paid to the new building of the Technopark, which will be commissioned in 2020 and is expected to attract high-tech companies from areas such as the IT sector and creative industries.

Colleagues were particularly interested in professional qualification programs for students of secondary and higher educational institutions, implemented in the technoparkr, in particular, on the basis of an animation technology park for children. After visiting 3D modeling and virtual reality laboratories, the delegation members came to the conclusion that the positive experience of teaching children in highly specialized areas can be scaled not only in Russia but also abroad.

The final part of the tour was business negotiations with tenants of the Technopark - Ev-Tech LLC and Vector Group LLC.

Earlier, a delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan took part in a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, MrsTarasenko on the development of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of innovative scientific and technological development.
