Beinopen 2021
On 4th June 2021 the 7th Beinopen New Fashion Industry Forum will be held. The Forum will be held in Moscow on the territory of the Flacon design plant.
The program builds on Beinopen's hypotheses about how the industry is changing in terms of production, sales, marketing, ethics and aesthetics. Within the framework of these blocks, speakers will share cases, and then, during the discussions, they will confirm or refute the initial hypotheses.
This year the event will be held for one day: from 12:00 to 20:00 in two parallel streams in two halls. Forum participants will be able to chat with each other during a special networking break, and 10 selected young brands will be able to declare themselves and make useful contacts within the framework of the revived Open Stage format. It will be possible to continue communication in an informal setting at a private party at the end of the day.
The Beinopen Forum is a professional event for everyone who makes fashion in Russia. The main mission of the Forum is to unite on one platform representatives of all branches of the fashion industry and light industry in order to set up the format of inter-sectoral cooperation. The event will be useful for designers, brand owners, retailers, PR people, journalists, new media creators and creative students.
Gradually, everything returns back to normal. But if you look deeper, the processes within the fashion industry have changed. Despite the illusion of recovery, many do not feel confident about the future and do not understand how to plan their work. Demand patterns and consumer habits have changed, and motivation within teams has been undermined by a protracted crisis. In the case of large companies, you can see that the old business models no longer work, and the new ones are not yet stable enough. At this point, the market is captured by visionaries who play against the rules.
Beinopen will hold the 7th Forum of the New Fashion Industry and will bring together the key professionals of the Russian fashion market: those who have been from the beginning, from the very first Forum, as well as open an open call for the young and daring. Each participant will share their case studies: what strategies and tools worked, what management decisions led to failure - and how to work on mistakes now.
This year the Forum will be held in the usual offline format, on the territory of the Flacon design plant in Moscow. On 4th June from 12:00 to 20:00, guests of the event will be able to attend the speeches of speakers in four directions:
- MANUFACTURING
In the conditions of closed borders, both small brands and mass market companies realized the need to localize production - this will affect the development of the garment industry and provide regional factories with regular orders. Brands-owners of their own production facilities will continue sustainable development and will become even more active in supporting eco-initiatives, forming a pool of sustainable production, new for Russia.
- SALES
The crisis has transformed demand, making it less predictable and broader, revealing unclaimed niches to fill. The closure of the borders has sparked an interest in Russian design among retailers and consumers. Thanks to this, new platforms for sales and interaction of brands with the audience have appeared, creative associations and collaborations have been formed.
- COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING
In the context of limited offline communication, digital will develop even more actively: online showrooms and presentations, user generated content, podcasts, broadcasts, YouTube and Telegram channels of brands will become the new norm and confirmation of the 032c manifesto about the big flat now. Thanks to the flexibility and the ability to quickly adjust communication strategies, small local brands will be able to reach the segment of the audience that previously preferred global brands. The controversy surrounding the theory of generations, the ability to pay of Gen Z and the surge in buying activity of baby boomers will never subside :)
- AESTHETICS AND ETHICS OF FASHION. TRENDS
The topic of health care - physical and mental - will remain one of the most important discourses in the fashion industry for a long time, and the pandemic is only reinforcing this trend. And the agenda related to political, social and eco-activism is gradually becoming an integral part of the DNA of Russian brands and serves as an important marker in the formation of a community around them.
