On 6th October Kalibr Technopark Hosts the Grand Opening of the Second Cohort of Its Own Acceleration Programme
Ariel University (Israel) has become a partner in the new programme, and its representatives have added five new members to the jury. Within the framework of cooperation, the University is ready to provide its infrastructure for the development of startups to the finalists of the programm that meet the criteria of the competition.
The solemn event was opened by Sergey Sevostyanov, General Director of Kalibr, who told the participants of the event about the possibilities and capacities of Kalibr Technopark for piloting projects.
Mikhail Kogan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalibr and Chairman of the jury of the accelerator spoke about the experience of international projects of Kalibr, introduced Ariel University and wished the participants fruitful work:
“We are actively pursuing international cooperation with a number of countries and partners. Israel has become one of the main directions for us. Several years ago, the head of the Technopark and I visited Ariel University in order to study the activities of the business incubator, which became the beginning of fruitful cooperation with the university on a number of projects”.
Among the guests of honor of the event were Alexander Ben-Zvi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation and Katie Dan, Deputy Chairman of the Israeli-Russian Business Council.
The ambassador greeted the participants of the accelerator and members of the expert council, spoke about support for startups on the example of Israel.
The online event was also attended by Professor Albert Pinkhasov, rector of the University of Ariel, who spoke about the activities of the university and the long-term experience of cooperation with Kalibr Technopark.
In her greeting, Katie Dan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Israel-Russia Business Council noted:
“Interaction between Russia and Israel is developing very actively today, bilateral ties are strengthening, joint work is increasing in the trade and economic sphere, in the fields of science, culture and tourism. One of the flagships of this process is the Israeli-Russian Business Council. Israel today is a startup country. But the successful development of startups is not only about giving them the opportunity to present their solutions. They need support at every stage of their growth, and this is where the Israel-Russia Business Council can be of significant assistance. We help Russian and Israeli startups find investors and enter global markets."
As part of the event, Kalibr Technopark represented by Mikhail Kogan and the Israeli-Russian Business Council represented by Katy Dan solemnly signed an agreement on interaction and outlined further plans for cooperation.
After the expert advice was presented to the event participants, Mikhail Kogan, Alexander Ben-Zvi and Katie Dan solemnly cut the cake with the partners' logos and invited all participants to the networking zone.
